you don't necessarily need different instruments but more of them. replace the instrument type in a few places as well as adding others would create a huge variety even if it's only one or two instruments. when the song quiets out with the single instrument, the beat should soften out a little so it doesn't totally drown that instrument out.

I agree with Kazm0 for the most part, though I've noticed that the vocals aren't really out of sync like everybody thinks. Listening closely to this I have noticed the vocals are actually timed to the off-beat. it's the echo effect that seems to set it off a little. it may be because of my borderline crappy pc speakers, but the vocals are very soft compared to the rest of the song and the bass is a tad overbearing. overall, sweet mix.
